The Sims 3 Generations (and maybe the next game patch 1.21) will add to the game some useful cheats in add to some options like lifespan duration, buy & build mode filters and memories system!

Cheats

New cheats

The Sims 3 Generations added just a cheat, but really useful. The new cheat is moviemakercheatsenabled true/false. We will see its usage here below, it works only with testingcheatsenabled true.

News with testingcheatsenabled true

In order to show the following options you need to toggle:

 

testingcheatsenabled true activate debug mode


then, when you've done, for deactivate it type

 

testingcheatsenabled false deactivate debug mode

 

Now, if you use SHIFT + left click combo on a Sim:

Edit Sim in Create a Sim now you come back sim in cas and edit it!!
Combo with new cheats moviemakercheatsenabled true

Animation requires to use moviemakerCheatsenabled on
You can play specific animation

 

Turn off look ats requires to use moviemakerCheatsenabled on
toggle all looks ats for all sims

 

Disable autonomy requires to use moviemakerCheatsenabled on
Prevents all Sims for doing anything other than player initiated interactions

Combo with moviemakercheatsenabled true on an NPC Sim



SHIFT + right Click requires to use moviemakerCheatsenabled on
This is an immediately action, no pop-up menu are showed. By using this combo you will select the target NPG sim and change the active household to NPG's ones. It seems there is no way to undo (only another NPG selection of course)


Lifetime Rewards

In Lifetime Rewards mask now we can filter them by type:

The new Lifetime Rewards are:
  • Above Reproach
  • Clean Slate
  • Clone Voucher
  • Age freeze potion
  • Hover bed
  • Inheritance
  • Motive Mobile
  • Super nanny
  • Young again potion

Options

Some new options parameters. In General Options there is the toggle on/off of memories notification. We can also see the setting about Facebook connect to The Sims 3 profile.

Filters

We miss so much the collection system of The Sims 2. Finally a first approach to filter contents in the buy/build mode. We can choose to show contents from an expansion, stuff pack, Store or custom contents.

ts3_buybuild_filter

This filter is active only for buy and build mode... we miss it in CAS! In create a sim we can't filter in the same way clothes, hair and so...

Disclaimer: Similar news were posted by Simprograms and SimVip some days ago. We haven't The Sims 3 Generations or the patch 1.21 installed. We received all these info by an anonimous user through our contact form. He/She sent us icons, text and some screens.
